Things are progressing pretty well. We are still out selling stuff, to get rid of everything we don’t want. Movers have been booked, and we have our one-way plane tickets (first class the whole way!).

I’ve got a blog post started on the whole process. It’s a pain, but I know it will be worth it!

Well, here you go. I’m not a huge fan of the picture, probably because the focus isn’t great, but it is better than nothing and was in the queue.

As we go through the Move more, I’m hoping to get better use out of the blog posting. It seems to take less time to throw items up there, but we’ll see. I definitely want to keep that going, especially after we get there.

Anyways, this is from my first trip to Paris, back when I proposed to Yow-Yow. I noticed I have a lot of really good pictures from then and want to get them put up. Specifically, this image is from the Rue Mouffetard Market in the 5th Arr. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend it. I have another picture of the rotisserie chickens dripping their deliciousness into potatoes, but it didn’t really turn out. It’s all good stuff there.

This was my Dad’s camera, but he gave it to me. It’s actually in good shape, as I’ve cleaned it up and made sure all the mechanics work correctly. At some point I may actually go through the intro to photography class again as a film student, mostly to get into the darkroom experience. However, I can’t get over how long it takes to just take a simple image with this thing. Between the manual focus, aligning the exposure meter (which is still in working condition even after not replacing the battery), having to manually set the f-stops and shutter speeds. And yet, everything about it is so fastinating. It’s quite primitive to what I currently shoot with. It’s amazing how much has changed in 30 years.
