It’s my birthday.

Chicago Daytime

This picture looks so much better with more than 800 pixels. Unfortunately, it’d look horrible on the site as it needs to be huge. And yes, there will be a nighttime shot from the same place sometime this summer. It’s been too cold at night to head out to the same place, but rest assured, it’ll happen with the tripod this summer.

AZ Vistas 7

Another stitched image.  This one isn’t quite as nicely stitched together however, but I still like it.  This is the only vista that’s not from Mt Lemmon.  I actually took these two photos on the way back from Bisbee and Tombstone.  I noticed the view on the way there, so while Erin was napping, I pulled the car over and snapped a few shots.

AZ Vistas 6

This image is actually three stitched together.  Photoshop did a pretty good job, but not after I basically made them identical and removed a bit of each image.  It was taken as far up as we went on Mt Lemmon, and as you can tell, there’s a lot of snow.  The peak is actually to the left of the image just a little bit, but I couldn’t resist this shot of the valley below.

AZ Vistas 5

This one’s taken just below the cloud line as you can see.  The colors seem to come out a lot more in the black and white version, than the color version.

AZ Vistas 4

More landscapes.

AZ Vistas 3

More pretty clouds and sky.  You can really see all the snow that had fallen the day before we got there in this one.

AZ Vistas 2

It’s images like these that make me want to move back to the mountains.  How I long to be climbing on those rocks.  If you look closely you can see where the road winds near the top left of the image.

AZ Vistas 1

I love the way the clouds and sky look with the circular polarizer.  Beautiful.

Tucson from Mt Lemmon

From one of the scenic turnoffs on the way to Mt Lemmon.  In the background you can see Tucson.  It’s hard to tell, but that’s it.  This starts a week of vista’s taken in AZ.  Most of them are from the trip up Mt Lemmon, but there’s a few others.

Yesterday, you may have noticed some downtime too.  This was outside of anything I could do.  My hosting provider had an emergency scheduled downtime and apparently not everything came back according to plan.  Oh well.
