300C

Another one up in Leland this past summer.  I definitely like that I redid my Lightroom catalog.  I found a lot of images in there.

Box

This was one of the first pictures I took with my new camera.  Taken in the downstairs of Erin’s parent’s house.  It’s also the same time I took the Piano Keys image, which is still one of my favorites.  Between this image and that one, you can see how unskilled I was with depth of field with my brand new 50mm lens.  At the time, I remember thinking none of the pictures were even going to turn out because of the low light.  Well, these two were about the only ones.

However, on Friday I had mentioned that I was for sure going to post something today.  This picture reminds me of a time, in my head right, of a (lot) better time.  Things seemed so much simpler and happier.  I wish I could be back there, or at least a year ago today and change so many things.

Candlelight

More fun with lighting.

Pile of Bricks

This was taken on the patio at the place I’m renting at.  The Bhudda actually sits on top of the charcoal filter for the fish pond.  Yes, we have a fish pond on our patio, which resides over my garage.  🙂

Lamp 120W

I was supposed to have my final walkthrough of the place yesterday, but apparently they haven’t moved anything out.  So instead, it’s for today after work.  Tomorrow at 1:30 is the closing.  So, excited!

Truly Nolen

I’m not sure how you could go wrong with transforming a BMW Isetta into a mobile scorpion.  Apparently these people thought the same.

In other site related news, I’m sick of this design.  The more I look at it, the more I realize I just threw it together.  And, since this site gets the most traffic, I’ll probably redo this one first.  Also, this site’s a lot easier to redo since I know it inside and out. This site will also use all default fonts, which was a mistake on the current site.  I’ll also be updating stuff and just making it feel more “polished”.  Who knows when this will be completed thoug as work has been extra busy lately.

Cactus Skeleton

I was fascinated on what the wooden structure left by a cactus looks like.  I believe this is the remnants of a Cholla, but don’t quote me on that.

Tires

These tires were just sitting in the parking lot next to each other.  I’m not sure how they got there or what they were doing.  Maybe someone changed theirs out, or just decided that looked like a good place to dump a pair of tires?

New Toy

And the aaron spruit (.com) countdown to Christmas has started (ish).  From today on, each of the images posted should have something to do with this winter holiday.  As of the posting of this entry, I still have one more person to shop for.  However, she’s definitely the most difficult one on my list so finding just the right thing takes awhile (plus there’s a birthday thrown in there too).  For most people, today’s probably doesn’t seem very Christmasy, but I know for my Dad it is.

This is the shot of his new toy, a Saturn Sky Redline parked in the garage.  I still can’t believe that he bought it.  It’s the first toy that I’ve ever seen him buy himself, and he definitely deserves it.  Plus, it’s a heck of a lot of fun to drive.
